Khartoum (IP) - The commander of the Sudanese army is heading to Egypt to consult and talk about this country's initiative for a ceasefire in Sudan.

According to Iranpress, Abdel Fattah Abdelrahman al-Burhan, the commander of the Sudanese army and the head of the country's military council, entered the port city of Port Sudan on Sunday evening to travel to Egypt today (Monday).

Egypt has presented a plan to establish a ceasefire in Sudan, which calls for a dialogue between all political groups except the dissolved Sudan National Congress Party, in order to resolve the political crisis in this country.

Also, Abdel Fattah Abdelrahman al-Burhan," is supposed to travel to Saudi Arabia after consultations in Egypt as a country supporting the negotiations of the Sudanese army and the rapid reaction forces.
