Iran Press/ Iran news: Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Ahmed Yildiz, who traveled to Tehran to participate in the new round of political consultations between Iran and Turkey, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, on December 30, and discussed bilateral relations and developments in the region.
Yesterday, the Turkish senior diplomat participated in the new round of political consultations between Iran and Turkey, which was chaired by him and Ali Bagheri Kani, the political deputy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
On Wednesday, Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Ahmet Yildiz also met with Ali Asghar Khaji, Senior Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs on Special Political Affairs, and discussed the latest situation in Syria. In that meeting, the two sides discussed the crimes and continued killing of innocent Palestinian people by the Zionist regime and its consequences on the spread of war in the region.
In this meeting, the parties also discussed the next round of meetings of the Astana process and the resumption of the meetings of the Constitutional Committee and emphasized the importance of these political processes in achieving peace and stability in Syria. 219
