Iran FM meets visiting Libyan deputy PM talk diplomacy

Tehran (IP)- On Tuesday, nine new ambassadors of several countries in Tehran presented a copy of their credentials to the Iranian foreign minister.

Before departing for Doha, Iran FM met the visiting Libyan deputy PM.

Ramadan Ahmed Abu Janah Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health of Libya met with Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Tuesday.

Ramadan Ahmed Abu Janah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health of Libya, who has traveled to the Islamic Republic of Iran at the head of a delegation, met with Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.

In this meeting, Amir-Abdollahian expressed his satisfaction with improving relations between the two countries in the past two years and added: "We have no limits for the development of relations."

The Iranian foreign minister added: "Fortunately, we assess that the relations between the two countries are on the right track, and we can quickly implement the agreements between the two countries."

Amir-Abdollahian said: "The Islamic Republic of Iran attaches importance to relations with Libya, and in this framework, holding a joint commission and a meeting between businessmen of the two countries can be put on the agenda."

In this meeting, the high-ranking Libyan official expressed his satisfaction with the trip to the Islamic Republic of Iran and emphasized: "There have been strong relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Libya for a long time."

He emphasized expanding relations, especially in the economic and medical fields.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Libya called for the unity and solidarity of Muslim countries in the current situation.

Iran-Syria FMs discuss Israel's crimes against Palestinians

During a telephone conversation, Iran's Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and his Syrian counterpart, Faisal Mekdad, engaged in discussions regarding bilateral relations and regional developments.

The two top diplomats delved into the positive outcomes stemming from the recent visit of the Syrian prime minister and his accompanying high-ranking delegation to Tehran.

They also touched upon the successful convening of the 15th meeting of the High Joint Cooperation Committee, the signing of new cooperation agreements, and the progressive momentum of bilateral cooperation, particularly in economic and commercial domains.

Furthermore, Amir-Abdollahian and Mekdad exchanged perspectives on the latest regional developments. Specifically, they addressed the ongoing crimes of the Zionist regime against the defenseless Palestinian people.

They also reviewed ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at immediately halting the massacre of civilians, particularly women and children. The two further underscored the urgent need to provide swift assistance to the Gaza Strip.
