Tehran(IP)- The Iranian President expressed satisfaction with the process of expanding relations and implementation of agreements between Iran and Armenia.

Iran PressIran news:  Ebrahim Raisi, President of Iran, on Wednesday night in the phone call with the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, congratulated him on the arrival of the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ (AS) and the beginning of the new year, and expressed his satisfaction with the process of expanding relations and implementing agreements between the two countries.

According to Iran press Ebrahim Raisi, in this telephone conversation, in response to the plan of the Armenian government to develop road and rail communication routes between the two countries as well as the countries of the region, said:

 "The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready for any kind of action and platform to open communication routes and infrastructures in the region in compliance with the principle It supports respect for national sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries and considers it an effective step towards consolidating peace and securing the interests of its neighbors."

Raisi considered the Caucasus as an important region in need of peace and tranquility and added:

"The foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards the Caucasus is stable and care must be taken that the Caucasus region does not become a field of competition for trans-regional countries and that its issues are resolved by the countries of the region without the interference of outsiders.

He described and specified the successful holding of the 3+3 meeting in Tehran as a constructive step to strengthen regional relations and cooperation and normalize the relations of the countries of the region with each other saying:

"Developing neighborly relations and strengthening relations in order to ensure mutual benefits and the interests of the countries of the region, the fundamental policy of the Islamic Republic It is Iran."

In this telephone conversation, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan reviewed the latest economic cooperation between the two countries and the latest developments in the region.

He also considered the actions of the officials of the two countries along with the implementation of agreements and the promotion of joint cooperation, the continuation and increase of relations between the high-ranking officials of Iran and Armenia as evidence of the resolution of the two countries to comprehensively expand bilateral relations.
