Tehran (IP) - The Head of Iran's Development and Trade Organization said that the free trade agreement between Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union would be signed within the next 20 days.

Iran PressIran news: Mahdi Zeighami told Iran Press that the facilitation of exports through tariff mechanism is coming to fruit and the Iran-Eurasia agreement is an important development for the country.

Zeighami called the agreement a change of attitude in the Iranian free trade field with the implementation of which the first free trade of Iran would take place in recent decades. 

The agreement between Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union is a practice to join free trade with other regions and unions such as BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), he added.

He also reported about two other free trade agreements to be signed with Syria and the Latin American region, respectively within the next two weeks and next three months.
