Tehran (IP) - The director general of international cooperation of Iran's health ministry said the country is seeking to form cooperation groups in the field of health with a number of Latin American and African countries.

Iran PressIran news: Mohammad Hossein Niknam, Director General of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Health, stated that Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Iraq, and the representatives of the World Health Organization are in the same group. Previously, this group had five members, but now this group has become G5+ and Iran is about to establish the groups to strengthen cooperation in health.

Niknam also said Iran is seeking to strengthen health and medical cooperation with a number of Arab countries in the Persian Gulf with high GDPs.

He also added that in the near future, an MoU will be signed to promote cooperation in health between Iran and Saudi Arabia, which includes various sectors.
